The Business of Nursing

In my past career life I was an Administrative Assistant. From marketing to Visa applications, I did it all. The role was very loosely defined, which proved to be excellent preparation for nursing! The person who I was assisting lived in a different city and the learning curve was steep. As time progressed, social media, as well as establishing organizational systems and processes, helped me to be successful. When I entered the healthcare field, I noticed that many professionals did not know how to properly leverage these tools to their benefit, so I began to teach them. As a multi-generation educator and a longtime Bible teacher, I LOVE using knowledge to empower others. How does health care fit in? Think about it; many top sellers recommend that new hires start out in the customer service department. They assign new people to sit in the busy call centers for hours at a time. In this way, employees can truly see customer problems first hand. Once salespeople truly understand the pain points of their potential customers, conversion rates can reach new heights!
