Main Takeaways and Quotes

I started a medical staffing agency and it blew up overnight and it was an instant success. And so as a part of that, people were coming to me, how did you do it, and asking me all types of questions and I started doing a little bit of consulting. And what I found was, I didn't feel like I have the expertise to give them a well-rounded opinion. It was based only on my experience, so I decided to get my certification as a coach.” – Mary Turner

I was a nurse and I, my specialty was neonatal ICU. And so I had lots of friends that were nurses and I just approached them that I'm starting a medical staffing agency, and I was wondering if there's something you think you might be interested in for some part-time income, and one person told another and before you know it, I had over 200 nurses.” – Mary Turner

I just think that businesses personal and is all about building those relationships. And people do business with people that they trust. And so that's kind of difficult with mass marketing. And I know there's an opportunity there, but the real connections are the ones that translate into dollars and cents.” – Mary Turner

“Mostly word of mouth, I do nurse coaching and you build those relationships and you start having conversations. One thing leads to another and you end up coaching people. It’s through business relationships that I've gotten most of my clients” – Mary Turner

I help people see that there's another way that they can be doing things, and through that, I help them to transform not only who they're being, but through this transformative process, they actually can transform their business and end up having a business that they love.” – Mary Turner

I believe that collaboration helps you to work smart, not hard. And when you have multiple heads, you come up with a better product, because we all think differently.” – Mary Turner

It’s through that collaboration with others more people are served.” – Mary Turner

“Most of the collaborations that I've had, at least the successful ones, was as a result of asking, just picking up the phone and asking.” – Mary Turner
